I was born in Devon but moved to Sutton Coldfield when I was 9, eventually ending up in Bedford in 1971 where I have lived ever since apart from a couple of spells at the College of Law in Guildford.
I qualified as a Solicitor in 1977 so have just completed 30 years service! After a few years as a general practitioner I eventually specialised in Property Law and now run the Residential Property department at PWHM.
I married Helen on the 16th June 1979 and we have two children, Bradley (who completed a Masters Degree in Pharmacy last year and is now back at University studying for his P.G.C.E. with a view to becoming a Chemistry Teacher next year) and Joanna (who recently qualified as a Riding Instructor to pursue her love of horses).
I am very keen on sport, either participating or watching, and have enjoyed playing rugby, cricket and squash although now I only play the gentler game of golf. I have been a supporter of Spurs since my early days in Devon, but prefer to watch rugby both at Bedford and at Twickenham.
I am a School Governor, and a member of two local village trusts.
I was a founder member of our Rotary Club and was President in 2003/4. I enjoy the mix of fun, fellowship and fund raising, of which I believe our Club has the right balance.
